Liam Snowdon has worked in the counselling field for 20 years. He has worked in a variety of settings including  on the street, in schools (high schools and post-secondary institutions), group homes,  HIV/AIDS organizations,  clinics,  and in family homes.  His undergraduate educational background is in Sociology, Criminology, Drug and Alcohol Counselling, Child and Youth Counselling and Women’s Studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health in Human Sexuality and a Doctorate in Human Sexuality. He has worked extensively with folks with challenges around; sexual orientation and gender issues,  alcohol and drugs, mental health, disability, anxiety, depression,  sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS. His work has been with communities, families, couples, and individuals and folks in non-traditional arrangements.

He specializes in supporting folks of all ages around gender, sexual orientation and sexual challenges.

He is kink, poly and queer friendly.

What is Sexology?

Sexology is the scientific study of human sexuality. To approach something from the sexological perspective is to look at sexual issues from a non-judgemental, permission-giving and pleasure-seeking/pleasure-enhancing perspective. The sexological perspective is to see sex as a natural part of life, to understand that different people do different things in the metaphorical “bedroom”, affirming that sex comes in all shapes, sizes and variations.
